IRON MAIDEN Frontman To Open OXJAM CHISWICK Music Festival Again

On October 20, IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson will open the Oxjam Chiswick mini-music festival at the festival's flagship venue The Hogarth Health Club in Chiswick, West London, England. He will officially announce the opening of the event by cutting the cord on the big day around midday as crowds gather to enjoy live music until midnight with over eighty bands lined up across venues up and down Chiswick high Road.

Bruce opened the festival last year and described the fundraiser as a "lovely idea".

"It's people doing local stuff, playing music locally and trying to raise money. And everyone can have a terrific time." he said.

You will have a chance to preview of some of the artists that will be performing at this year's festival in two free shop gigs at Oxfam Boutique and Oxfam Bookshop in Chiswick, These take place on October 13 from 12.00 to 15.00.

Oxjam is Oxfam's national music festival which, between the various venues across the U.K. In 2011 over 200,00 people came to an Oxjam gig, making it the U.K.'s biggest music festival. All money raised goes to help the charity which focuses on three main objectives: emergency response, campaigning for change, and development work worldwide.
